TFK：現在它們這麼受歡迎，你有何感受呢？
科芬：看到這些小家夥如此受寵，我感到很欣慰；但經常看到它們又覺得有點嚇人。哪裏都是它們—在包包上、手機殼上、課本上……好像有點過了。
TFK：小黃人說的究竟是什麼語言？或者隻是亂說一通？
科芬：那是西班牙語、法語、英語、俄語、韓語、日語、漢語、印尼語等各種語言的混合體。我們的想法是讓這些角色盡可能國際化。小黃人電影的主要構思是展示它們一直以來效忠過世界各地的各種邪惡主人，所以它們的語言當中淩亂地混雜著不同語言也很合理。
TFK：大家經常叫你扮小黃人的聲音嗎？
科芬：其實我無法隨時那樣做。說起來挺怪的，但我的確要把要說的話先寫下來，因為當你要說這種沒有意思的外來語言，就必須反複說，直到感覺自然、像真正的語言為止。我會寫下來，一遍一遍地錄音，直到聽起來自然為止。用毫無意義的單詞說話不是那麼簡單的事。
TFK： There are three main characters in Minions. How would you describe them？
Coffin： The basic concept， the basics of a human character divided into three. Kevin is the conscience[良心]， the big brother， and the hero in the most general sense. Stuart is the teenager who doesn’t want to do anything. He’s lazy， tired， and very sarcastic[諷刺的]. He’s very keen on doing the forbidden[禁止的] things. He has that teen aspect[方麵] that makes him very charismatic[有魅力的]. Bob is the innocent[天真的] one. He’s the cutest and the heart of the three. He’s very funny.
TFK： What else can you tell us about the movie？
Coffin： It’s great fun because you know already know these characters as a group， but you don’t know them intimately[密切地]. The whole movie is about these characters， so you get to meet our three main characters and a lot of others who are also important. While our main characters are out searching for a new master， we see what’s happening to the whole core of the minions. All of these moments are very funny and all of the human characters are awesomely evil. It’s very exciting to introduce new villains[壞人]， like Scarlet Overkill （voiced by Sandra Bullock）， who is the world’s first female supervillain.
TFK：《小黃人》中有三個主角，你會怎樣描述它們呢？
科芬：基本的概念是，把一個人類角色一分為三。凱文代表良知，是大哥，是常規意義上的英雄。斯圖爾特是那個什麼都不想幹的少年；它懶惰、疲倦，很會挖苦人，總喜歡做違規的事情；它身上帶有的那種少年氣息使他魅力無法擋。鮑勃則代表天真無邪的那一麵；它是三人當中最萌的一個，也是它們的甜心，可搞笑呢。
TFK：關於這部電影還有什麼可以透露的呢？
科芬：這部電影很有趣，因為你已經從一個群體的層麵認識了這些角色，但對個體就不一定了。整部電影以角色為主，所以你會看到三個主角以及很多其他同樣重要的角色。當我們的主角在外麵尋找新主人時，我們也可以看到小黃人的整個核心部分發生了什麼事情。所有這些場景都非常搞笑，所有的人類角色都極度邪惡。新反派的登場讓人很是激動，例如世界上第一個女性超級反派斯佳麗·殺人狂（桑德拉·布洛克配音）就是其中之一。
