《If I Die Young》是The Band Perry的第二支單曲，在iTunes上銷量可觀，取得鄉村音樂銷售榜冠軍，獲得雙白金認證（銷量達到兩百萬張以上），並獲得第53屆格萊美獎最佳鄉村歌曲提名和Billboard Hot 100排名上取得了第14名的好成績。
《If I Die Young》所描繪的情境基於亞瑟王時代的一個淒美的傳說。一個美麗的少女Shalott愛上了圓桌騎士中最出色的Lancelot，但是他們的愛情是被詛咒的。為了見到心愛的人，Shalott明知厄運即將來臨，仍選擇坦然麵對，唱著歌蕩舟順水而下。當她終於得償所願時，卻因詛咒而死去。英國詩人Alfred Lord Tennyson根據這個傳說寫出了《夏洛特夫人》（The Lady of Shalott）的愛情絕唱——隻因驚鴻一瞥，不顧一切向愛人奔去，靜靜等待生命停息的那刻……
