戀上巴黎，戀上法蘭西
提到巴黎，你腦海中首先浮現的是什麼？我想，再華麗的辭藻也無法形容這個城市。
巴黎的魅力不在於現代都市的高樓林立，不在於人頭攢動的繁華大街；而是一種穿梭於古典與時尚、曆史與文化、自由與浪漫之間的難以言喻的情懷。
資產階級革命時期，改變世界曆史的法國大革命爆發於此，讓巴黎成為文化曆史之城；一戰後，這裏文藝鼎盛造就了“黃金時代”，使巴黎蒙上文化之都的神秘麵紗；而如今，巴黎以其獨有的敏銳觸角屹立於全球時尚界。
正如海明威在《流動的聖節》裏提到的：
If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man， then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you， for Paris is a moveable feast.
影片《絕代豔後》以波旁王朝（Bourbon Dynasty）的瑪麗 安托瓦奈特王後（Marie Antoinette）的絕世傳奇為主線，展現了法國大革命（French Revolution）前凡爾賽宮內的種種頹廢、奢靡與陰謀。
《絕代豔後》由憑借《迷失東京》（Lost in Translation）成為美國第一位獲得奧斯卡最佳導演提名的女導演索菲亞 科波拉（Sofia Coppola）執導，是第一部獲準進入凡爾賽宮（Versailles）實地拍攝的影片，業界人士評價該片為“視覺的盛宴”。該片榮獲2007年奧斯卡最佳服裝設計獎，香奈兒（Chanel）為其舉辦了時尚派對，《Vogue》雜誌對其進行了20頁的圖文專題報道。
瑪麗王後揮霍無度，路易十六（Louis XVI）此時堅持援助美國革命，債台高築。這使得人民生活疾苦，終於奮起反抗，攻占巴士底獄（Bastille）。本選段講的是法國大革命初期，路易十六與瑪麗王後不顧親信反對，堅持留守巴黎。
