The highly anticipated[期望的] adaptation[改編] of Veronica Roth’s best-selling young-adult novel takes place in a dystopian[反麵烏托邦的] world where all of society is divided into five factions[派別]： Abnegation[克製]（selfless）； Erudite[博學之士] （intelligent）； Candor[直率] （honest）； Amity[和睦] （peaceful） and Dauntless[無所畏懼的] （brave）. Our heroine， 16-year-old Beatrice Tris Prior （played by Shailene Woodley）， has chosen the Dauntless faction which involves a lot of very scary tests. The cast of actors all have to do all sorts of stomach-lurching[突然傾斜] things， such as jumping off of elevated trains[高架列車] and scaling[攀登] great heights. In one scene， Shailene Woodley， had to stand on a ledge[架狀突出物] to make a huge jump into her faction of choice. “She really did stand on that ledge，” marvels[大為驚訝] director Neil Burger. “She’s incredibly game[有膽量的] and so adventurous. In a way， she’s very Dauntless.”
