Libraries are basically built for computer using and book borrow-ing．The only library in West High is consisted of two pans which are computer labs and book sections．Computer labs are places where we usually go to do our projects like ESL’S and American Study’s．Every student is given a user name and password as soon as he enters in to this school．All the computers in the library are connected by a net-work system set by school．Of course，we can come to the library at anytime and use any of the computers if need．This mostly benefits the students who prefer to have the work done in school and those who need cooperation in projects．Sometimes I went there to surf the net and check my Centerpoint after class．
Books in American library are extremely colorful．When doing anew project，students can always find out the materials they want in the library．Generally，novels and documentaries stand a great a nount of percentages．There，I once found a few books discussing and comment-ing on Chinese history and development．Something especially worth mentioning is that some Chinese leaders were even focused and written in book by some American authors．There were books in other lan-guages but unfortunately I did not find any in Chinese before I left．Ev-cry student can borrow a book as long as the ID is taken with him orher．Only if the book you want to borrow is scanned on your card，could the book be yours temporarily．It is said that if someone delays the due time or loses the book，they need to pay for it．Nevertheless，American people are usually careful about the books they borrow and have no means of destroying the book intentionally．
