66.《無妄》,元亨,利貞。其非正有眚,不利有攸往。——出自《無妄·卦辭》

今譯:不隨意妄為,就會大吉大利,行事亨通而有利於身心健康。倘若做事不持正而蠻幹,就不利於所追求的目標。

衍言:盲人騎瞎馬,自然是事與願違。

《周易》小詞典:《無妄》,卦名。無妄有正反兩層意思,一是真實無偽,二是不測。無妄卦表示要遵循正道,順應自然,避免不測。

Wu Wang indicates great progress and success, while there will be advantage in being firm and correct. If its subject and his action be not correct, he will fall into errors, and it will not be advantageous for him to move in any direction.——- from Gua Ci, Wu Wang

Modern interpretation: If one does not act with deliberate audacity, there will be good luck and great prosperity, which will do good to his body and mind. On the contrary, if his action is blind or incorrect, there will be losses and disadvantages in achieving his objective.

Moral: Things may run counter to men’s wishes as illustrated in the Chinese saying “A blind man on a blind horse” .
