富翁為招待朋友準備了豐盛的酒席。這時候,他的狗也像朋友發出了邀請: “我的主人今天準備了酒席,到時候肯定會剩下很多食物,晚上和我一起來享用吧! ”到了約定的時間,狗的朋友來了,看到那麼一大桌的美味佳肴,頓時欣喜若狂,說道: “我真是太高興了!我從來沒有這樣的機會。我一定要飽餐一頓,明天也不會挨餓了。 ”

來做客的狗一邊為自己慶祝,一邊搖著尾巴向朋友表示感謝。就在這時,廚師走過來看到一隻陌生的狗,就毫不留情地一把抓住他的尾巴,從窗口扔了出去。那狗被重重地摔到了地上,慘叫了幾聲。他的叫聲把街道上其他的狗吸引了過來,紛紛問道: “今天的晚餐一定別有風味吧? ”那狗回答說: “我喝了太多的美酒,有些醉了。現在我已經不記得自己是如何從裏麵出來的了。 ”

天下沒有白吃的午餐。

While he was gratulating himself and wagging his tail to vey his pleasure to his friend,the moving about among his dishes and,seizing him by his fore and hind paws,buhout y out of the wih for the ground and limped away, howling dreadfully. His yelling sooher street dogs, to him and inquired how he had enjoyed his supper. He replied,“Why, to tell you the truth,I drank so mue that I remember nothing. I do not know how I got out of the house.”

Some respect is due the servant for the sake of the master.
