有個獵人費了很大的勁抓到一隻兔子，把它扛在肩膀上，走在回家的路上。途中，他遇到一位騎手。騎手問他是否可以把兔子賣給他。獵人答應了，就把兔子交給了騎手。誰知騎手一拿到兔子，馬上策馬狂奔，逃之夭夭。氣憤的獵人緊追不舍，可是他們之間的距離越來越大。當騎手已經跑得很遠的時候，獵人無計可施，隻能自欺欺人地呼喊： “你走吧 !這隻兔子就算是我送給你的禮物了！ ”
愚蠢的人總會為自己愚蠢的行為找到借口。
