動物們曾經開過一個大會，猴子因舞技出眾，被大家推舉為國王。狐狸非常妒忌猴子的地位。一天，他看見一個放有肉的陷阱，就把猴子帶到夾子前麵說： “小人發現了這個寶貝，不敢占為己有，第一時間就想到要把它作為禮物獻給最尊貴的大王您！ ”猴子相信了狐狸的話，就上前去取肉，結果一下掉進了陷阱。他責罵狐狸卑鄙無恥，狐狸卻回答： “唉，猴子，像你這種沒有頭腦的傻瓜，有資格當這百獸之王嗎 ?”
真正的統治者會用實力來證明自己。
