知識鏈接——電視節目常識
美國人一般用televisiram或者television show，而英國人一般用televisiram來表示“電視節目”，包括人們通過電視觀看的任何內容。有固定集（episode，在美國也可以叫show）數的連續播出的電視節目（television ries）叫miniries或者rial。
Miniries總長度一般為三到十個小時。北美人也管一年以內播放完畢的叫ason，而英國和愛爾蘭人則叫ries。在美國，連續節目一般包括6-26部分（installment），但在英國則沒有固定長度限製。一次性播完（one-off broadcast）的電視節目在美國叫special，在英國則叫special episode。
Television movie（美國）或者television film（英國）是指首先為了在電視上播出的電影，也叫direct-to-videht-to-video、made-for-video或者straight-to-DVD。
電視廣告叫advertiment或者ercial，插播廣告叫ercial interruption或者ercial break。Infomercial是類似電視購物那種比較長的電視廣告片。互連網上的電視片段叫i video clip。Trailer是電影廣告片，目前某些電視節目也有這種廣告片。
