曾獲第八屆茅盾文學獎、第一屆魯迅文學獎、第七屆莊重文文學獎、第二屆中國小說學會獎長篇小說大獎、首屆世界華文長篇小說紅樓夢獎決審團獎（香港）、聯合文學獎（台灣），根據其小說改編的電影《鳳凰琴》《背靠背臉對臉》曾囊括國內所有電影大獎，為第二十九屆中國電影金雞獎評委。
