戰國時，燕國藝人高漸離，
會演奏叫做“築”的古樂器。
他擊築技藝非尋常，
因此大大有名氣。
高漸離荊軻偶相遇，
二人一見如故成知己，
常聚在燕都酒店開懷飲，
擊築唱歌抒胸臆。
過不久，燕太子請荊軻助他刺秦王，
史書清楚將這故事記。
據說那荊軻離開燕國上路時，
送行的，便是太子和高漸離。
送別送到易水河，
漸離動情把築擊。
樂聲淒愴令人悲，
“易水悲歌”傳後世。
哪料想，荊軻行刺事未成，
先在秦國被殺死。
秦王動怒發大兵，
攻伐燕國捉太子。
荊軻同黨受牽連，
高漸離，改名換姓遠逃離。
到一個荒僻山鄉做佃工，
主人絲毫也不知。
有一次，主人設宴請賓客，
酒席間，有人助興把築擊。
高漸離聽了築樂耐不住，
對那人擊築技巧作評議。
真不愧行家裏手有見地，
在座的，沒有一個不服氣。
主人又請他即席作表演，
直奏得喝彩之聲時時起。
誰料到，這一演奏了不得，
竟有人，認出他就是高漸離！
漸離絲毫不懼怕，
開箱子，拿出了
自己珍藏的好樂器。
同時換上舊時裝，
不顧一切獻築技。
主人賓客驚又喜，
從此不以傭工視，
待以客禮照顧周，
無人出賣去告密。
漸離擊築成佳話
“不覺技癢”作成語，
常比喻，身懷高超技藝者，
逢機會，總會躍躍作嚐試。
Itching to Have a Go
During the period of the Warring States（475—221B。C。），there was a man named Gao Jianli in the State of Yan，who was quite good at playing the ancient musical instrument zhu。And because of his amazing skill，he was then very well-known。
One day，he made friends with a man named Jing Ke，and they became sworn friends forever。They drank in the city's restaurant，and played zhu to express their hearts。Before long，the prince of the State of Yan asked Jing Ke to assassinate the Emperor of Qin。（You probably know the story in Chinese history。）It was said that the men who sent Jing Ke off were none other than the prince and Gao Jianli。They saw Jing Ke off at the Yishui River，where Jianli played zhu emotionally。So emotional and so sad was the music，that“Sad Songs by the Side of the Yishui River”was passed down for generations。
