《三國誌·魏書》有篇《孔融傳》，
有一個故事把人感：
說的是有次曹操要征南，
想早日消滅劉備和孫權。
孔融卻勸他別出兵，
他哪裏肯聽這意見！
背地裏孔融說了幾句牢騷話，
不小心被他的仇人偷聽見。
那人添油加醋來挑撥，
把孔融的話兒向曹操傳，
說孔融一向目中無他人，
從來對曹公就看不慣。
曹操頓時生怒氣，
下命令把孔融一家全開斬！
抓人時孔融家個個膽破裂，
隻有兩個孩子從容不迫把遊戲玩。
大家都以為孩子不懂事，
有人還偷偷去哄勸。
當時孔融很難受，
也希望孩子得保全。
正當他去向官兵把情求，
兩個孩子卻發了言：
“父親不要再費唇舌，
說好話又豈能放過咱？
就好比鳥窩已經摔在地，
別指望能有完整的蛋！”
倆孩子從容不迫隨父去，
孔家人被曹操全殺完。
後人提起這件事，
常常唏噓又感歎。
記下了出自孩童口中語，
叫“覆巢之下無完卵”，
久而久之作成語，
講起舊事感慨添，
抱怨曹操心太狠，
聰穎幼童喪黃泉。
這成語，常比喻事物整體遭殃後，
個體或局部難保全。

In the book“Wei，Three Kingdoms（220—265A。D。）”，there is an article“Life of Kong Rong”，which tells a very impressive story。
Once Cao Cao wanted to launch an attack on the South to wipe out Liu Bei and Sun Quan as soon as possible。Kong Rong tried to dissuade him，but to him Cao Cao promptly turned a deaf ear。Kong Rong then plained in the back streets，and someone passed this information on to Cao Cao，telling him that Kong Rong was disdaining him。Cao Cao then burst into a furious rage，and ordered Kong Rong and his whole family to be killed。Members of the family were dumbfounded when they were arrested。Only two children were playing as if nothing had happened。People thought that the children were too young to feel fear，and someone slyly went to tell them to run away。
