元朝有位雜劇作家康進之，
曾編過《李逵負荊》這出戲。
演的是北宋末年天下亂，
農民們紛紛鬧起義。
就在山東梁山泊，
有許多英雄好漢來聚義，
為首的大名鼎鼎叫宋江，
正籌劃進一步擴大根據地。
靠水泊有一個村子叫杏花莊，
莊頭上開一個酒店懸酒旗。
開店的老板叫王林，
年紀也有六十幾。
有一個女兒名叫滿堂嬌，
父女倆相依為命過日子。
有一天兩個流氓進店來，
耍無賴就把老漢女兒欺。
這倆賊自稱都是水泊人，
假冒魯智深宋江倆人名。
老王林女兒遭災心悲痛，
正哭時李逵下山到這裏。
老王林一番哭訴激英雄，
黑好漢信以為真生怒氣，
似旋風回到梁山寨，
忠義堂前拿板斧劈，
一斧砍倒杏黃旗，
逼宋江去和王林親對質。
到後來事情真相弄大白，
方知道，罪犯是流氓和地痞。
錯怪了哥哥非小可，
最不該一怒砍倒聚義旗。
好李逵脫去上衣負荊條，
找宋江認錯又賠禮。
宋江說，真正壞人未捉到，
光是賠禮有啥用！
恰巧是王林上山來報告，
說壞蛋又到他店裏。
他女兒也被帶了來，
倆壞蛋已被灌醉在夢裏。
宋江叫李逵快去捉壞蛋，
李逵說，甕中捉鱉很容易。
飛快去抓來壞蛋正了法，
李逵也深深受教育。
“甕中捉鱉”作成語，
常比喻壞人早已被控製，
逃跑已是不可能，
若要捉住很容易。
Catch a Turtle in a Jar
In the Yuan Dynasty（1271—1368A。D。）there was a playwright by the name of Kang Jinzhi。He posed a play titled“Li Kui Apologizes”。It tells the story of the warring Northern Song Dynasty。The peasants had an uprising now and again。It was by the water margin of Liangshan in Shandong Province。Many a hero gathered together。The mander is the famous hero named Song Jiang，who was planning to enlarge his base。Beside the water margin there was a village named“Almond Blossom Village”。In front of the village there opened a restaurant。The proprietor of the restaurant was Wang Lin。He was already in his sixties。He begot a daughter named Man Tangjiao（meaning dear in the whole house）。Father and daughter lived a well-to-do life。
