26.君子以作事謀始——《訟·象》
今譯:每位品行端正的人做事時必須考慮把基礎打好。
衍言:經濟利益是訟事的主要根源，關鍵在於立法或契約的不明確，隻有慎始製契，講究誠信，則訟端絕，和諧生。
《周易》小詞典：《象辭》，據說由孔子撰寫，另一說是周公。用於解釋卦辭的叫大象，解釋爻辭的叫小象。都屬《易傳》。

Modern interpretation: How to make a good foundation is the first consideration of a noble man before doing anything.
Moral: Economic benefits are the main cause of lawsuits and the most crucial problem lies in vague legislation and contract. To avoid such cases and achieve harmony, we should be cautious about contract formulation and strive for honesty. This will lead to harmony.
Glossary: It was said that Xiang Ci or Xiang Zhuan ( the Image Symbol) was written by Confucius. The other opinion held that it was done by Duke of Zhou. Those interpreting the diagrams are called Da Xiang ( the Great Images), and those interpreting the lines are called Xiao Xiang ( the Small Images).
