In Tai, we see the little gone and the great come, which indicates good fortune, progress and success.——- from Gua Ci, Tai
Modern interpretation: Tai indicates that we will see the great come only when the little goes. Then there will be good fortune with progress and success.
Moral: Investment of any kind is necessary for “profits”. This is meant by the common saying that a faint heart never wins a fair lady.
Glossary: The Hexagram Tai is formed with the three strong lines of Qian below, and the three weak lines of Kun above, symbolizing the meeting of heaven and earth. The strong lines below suggests an upward movement of Yang, hence “gone”; the weak line above moves downward, hence “come”.
