36.無平不陂，無往不複。——出自《泰·九三爻》
今譯：沒有一種事物的變化是一貫順當而不出現艱難，發展的趨勢從順暢到滯澀，然最終還會回歸到順暢。
衍言：事物發展變化存在著普遍性和永恒性規律，創業中既要注意物極必反的征兆，更要具備持之以恒的信念。
《周易》小詞典：九三爻居乾卦之極，與坤卦之上六爻相應，極則返始，故曰無平不陂，無往不複。
There is no state of peace that is not liable to be disturbed, and no departure of evil men so that they shall not return.——- from The Third Line, Undivided, Tai
Modern interpretation: Nothing can advance without difficulties and hardships. Progress starts and ends smoothly through obstruction.
Moral: Universality and eternity are laws of development. In pioneering an enterprise, it is important to know that anything will turn into its opposites when it reaches the extreme. And, on the other hand, it is essential to be persistent.
Glossary: The third line, undivided, occupies the topmost position of Qian and in respondence with the sixth line of Kun, which symbolizes a return follows the extremity. Hence, there is no state of peace that is not liable to be disturbed, and no departure of evil men so that they shall not return.
