40.其德剛健而文明，應乎天而時行，是以元亨。——出自《大有·彖》
今譯：具有剛健率直之品德而知禮儀，又能順應規律而依循時勢行事，這樣就會大通順。

《周易》小知識：《大有》，卦名。大有卦，乾下離上，乾之德為剛健；離之象為火、為文明。大有卦六五爻與九二爻相應，稱為應乎天。
The attributes of Da You’s component trigrams strength and vigor with elegance and brightness. Modern interpretation: Things would go very well with those who are frank, upright and courteous, knowing how to conduct themselves according to laws and situation.
Moral: The person who understands the times is a hero.
Glossary: Da You, is a hexagram with Qian as the lower trigram which emblems being firm and strong in virtue, and Li the upper trigram which symbolizes fire and civilization. The response of the fifth line to the second line of this hexagram is called a response to Heaven.
