今譯：行為端正的人應該具備坦率、剛直、中正無私的品德。
衍言：坦率是銀，正直是金。
《周易》小詞典：《同人》卦離下乾上，其離象為火、為日、為電，其德為文明；其乾象為天、為君，其德為剛健。其居臣位之六二爻與居君位之九五爻為中正相應。

Modern interpretation: A well–behaved man must be candid, upright and straightforward in character.
Moral: Frankness is silver, honesty is gold.
Glossary: Tong Ren is a hexagram with Li below and Qian above. Li is an image of brightness of fire, light and lightning, suggesting civilization in terms of morality. And Qian symbolizes heaven and lord, whose moral character is strong and correct. The second line, the place of the minister, responds to the fifth line, the place of the lord, in the central and correct position.
