79.以虛受人—— 出自《鹹·象》
今譯：以謙虛的姿態接納別人，這是君子應有的誌向。
衍言：豁達開朗，虛懷若穀，可疏導人際淤滯。
《周易》小詞典：《鹹》艮下兌上，有澤在山上象，水性下流，山亦能虛而接受水，因此象辭觀象而提出“以虛受人”。
The superior man keeps his mind free from pre-occupation, and open to the influence of others.——from The Great Symbolism, Xian
Modern interpretation: A superior man should cherish lofty aspirations to accept anybody with a modest heart.
Moral: An open-minded, cheerful and modest man can clear away obstacles of human communication.
Glossary: With Gen below and Dui above, the hexagram of Xian has the image of a lake on the mountain. Water flows down, and mountains accept it. This symbolism requires people to “be extremely humble and open-minded to others”.
