牧羊人想把山羊集合起來，趕回羊圈。他吹響了口哨，可是分散在四處的山羊根本沒有聽到他的哨聲。最後牧羊人拿起一塊石頭丟了過去，正好打斷了一隻山羊的角。牧羊人嚇壞了，不斷請求山羊不要告訴農場主人，山羊對他說： “咳，傻傻的家夥，即使我保持沉默，你又怎能掩蓋住這明擺著的事實呢？ ”
