複合形容詞複合形容詞是指由兩個或兩個以上的詞構成的形容詞。複合形容詞主要有以下幾種構成方式:

(1)名詞+形容詞。如:duty-free,home-sick,heart-sick。

(2)名詞+現在分詞。如:labor-saving,mouth-watering。

(3)名詞+過去分詞。如:weather-beaten,sugar-coated,hearted-felt。

(4)形容詞+現在分詞。如:good-looking,easy-going。

(5)形容詞+名詞。如:large-scale,high-class。

(6)形容詞+名詞+-ed。如:abnt-minded,whole-hearted,good-tempered。

(7)形容詞+形容詞。如:icy-cold,red-hot。

(8)副詞+現在分詞。如:far-eing,hard-w,far-reag。

(9)副詞+過去分詞。如:well-informed,wide-spread,well-known。
