cost的意思是“成本”或“原價”(the amount of money o make or buy something); price的意思是“定價”或“價格”(the amount of mohat you must pay in order to buy it),它指賣方出售的價錢,因此,price通常比cost高。
With the introdu of the new method, the products decread in cost.
“What is the price of a new English-e Diary?" —“It is HK$200.”
English Pitfalls is priced at HK$56.
“How much did they cost you?”—“They e $142.I bought them at cost price.”
What a price we paid for it!
They will aplish their purpo at any price.
What costs nothing sometimes fetches a high price.
The highest price a man pay for a thing is to ask for it.
Every man has his price.
