院長：女士們，先生們！現在，我隆重地向大家介紹2004級哈佛法學院的畢業生。我非常榮幸地介紹本年度由學生選出的致辭代表，她在哈佛的開始非常有趣。畢業後她將獲邀加入波士頓一家最有聲望的律師行。我相信她會幹得非常出色。女士們，先生們，歡迎艾倫·伍茲小姐上台！
艾倫：我們第一天到哈佛的時候，一位賢明的教授引用了亞裏士多德的名言：“法律是排除激情的理性。”亞裏士多德，恕我冒犯，但是我在哈佛三年的求學生涯中卻發現：激情是學習和實踐法律不可或缺的要素，同時也是生命中不可或缺的要素。要有激情，敢於堅持按照自己的信念做事兒，要有強烈的自我意識，這樣我們才能步入社會。提醒大家，第一印象並不總是正確的。始終保持對他人的信心，最重要的是，對自己要有信心。祝賀2004級的畢業生們，我們畢業了！
