全稱新加坡共和國。新加坡是東南亞的一個島國，瀕臨馬六甲海峽。首都新加坡市以其整潔秀美的環境被譽為“花園城市”。新加坡河畔，魚尾獅像是著名地標和國家象征，濱海藝術中心和濱海灣金沙酒店彰顯現代大都市宏偉建築的魅力。新加坡植物園是新加坡首個世界文化遺產，各種各樣的熱帶植物在此生長。

新加坡曾經舉辦青奧會（2010）。流行的體育運動有足球、籃球、板球、橄欖球、遊泳、羽毛球等。
