.Hamlet_shouted,_“What_is_that?_A_rat?”_Thinking_that_it_was_Claudius,_he_drew_his_sword_and_rushed_to_the_curtains._The_man_behind_the_curtains_fell_dead._Hamlet_was_shocked_to_see_the_dead_body_of_Polonius,_Ophelia’s_father,_there.
.“Oh,_Hamlet._What_a_cruel_thing_you_have_done!”_cried_the_queen_in_terror.
.Hamlet_answered,_“No,_it_is_not_I_but_you_that_have_done_a_cruel_thing.”
.Then_suddenly,_the_ghost_of_his_father_appeared_before_them._His_mother_could_neither_see_nor_hear_it._It_said,_“Hamlet,_do_not_harm_the_queen,_because_she_is_your_mother;_kill_Claudius_as_quickly_as_possible._Now,_Hamlet,_get_out_of_this_room!”
.“Yes,_I_will,_Father,”_said_Hamlet_to_the_ghost._The_queen_thought_that_Hamlet_was_really_mad._Hamlet_obeyed_his_father’s_advice_and_left_the_queen_and_the_dead_body_of_Polonius._
.The_queen_hurried_to_the_king_and_told_him_that_Hamlet_had_killed_Polonius_in_his_madness._Upon_hearing_this,_he_thought_of_an_evil_plan._He_said_to_himself,_“Hamlet_was_mad_enough_to_kill_his_lover’s_father._He_may_kill_me,_too._I_must_send_him_somewhere_else._I_cannot_live_with_such_a_dangerous_person.”
.Claudius_made_up_his_mind_to_send_Hamlet_over_to_England_with_his_two_men_who_used_to_be_Hamlet’s_old_friends._He_had_the_two_men_deliver_a_letter_to_the_English_king,_in_which_he_asked_him_to_kill_Hamlet_as_soon_as_they_arrived_in_England._Though_Hamlet_had_killed_one_of_Claudius’s_noblemen,_all_the_people_in_the_nation_loved_him_very_much._That_was_why_Claudius_could_not_kill_Hamlet.
.Hamlet_and_the_two_men_set_sail_for_England._While_on_board_the_ship,_Hamlet_asked_himself_why_he_was_sent_abroad._He_became_very_uneasy._He_suspected_that_Claudius_must_have_planned_something_bad._He_didn’t_trust_his_two_old_friends,_either.
.While_the_two_men_were_sleeping_in_the_ship,_Hamlet_found_the_letter_written_by_the_king._He_read_it_and_knew_the_king’s_plan._Hamlet_had_a_good_Idea._He_rubbed_out_his_name_and_wrote_the_names_of_the_two_men_instead._
.The_next_day_Hamlet’s_ship_was_attacked_by_pirates._Hamlet_was_so_brave_that_he_jumped_onto_the_pirates’_ship_and_fought_against_them._While_Hamlet_was_fighting,_his_ship_sailed_away._At_last_he_was_caught_as_a_prisoner_by_several_strong_pirates._He_told_them_that_he_was_the_Prince_of_Denmark._Then_they_suddenly_became_kind_to_him_and_promised_his_safe_return_to_Denmark._Hamlet_thanked_them_and_promised_to_reward_them_after_he_became_king_of_Denmark.
.When_Hamlet_went_ashore,_he_wrote_to_Claudius,_telling_him_of_his_return_to_Denmark._He_said_in_the_letter_that_he_would_like_to_tell_him_everything_that_had_happened_at_sea._He_did_not_refer_to_the_letter_written_to_the_English_king._He_also_wrote_to_his_best_friend,_Horatio,_asking_him_to_come_to_meet_him_the_next_day.
.The_following_day_they_met_and_Hamlet_told_Horatio_that_the_king_had_planned_to_kill_him_in_England._They_began_walking_toward_the_castle.
.As_they_came_near_the_castle,_they_saw_two_old_men_digging_a_grave._“Whose_grave_are_you_digging,_old_men?”_asked_Hamlet._They_answered_so_uncertainly_and_strangely_that_Hamlet_could_not_understand_what_they_were_saying._Little_did_he_think_that_it_was_a_grave_for_his_dear_Ophelia?_
.While_Hamlet_was_away_from_Denmark,_a_very_sad_thing_had_happened_to_Ophelia._She_began_to_lose_her_mind_after_she_learned_that_her_father_had_been_killed_by_Hamlet._From_then_on_she_often_walked_around_the_castle_alone,_singing_sadly._One_day_when_she_was_walking_near_a_stream,_singing_a_sad_love_song,_she_found_some_pretty_flowers_there._Trying_To_pick_them_up,_she_slipped_down_the_bank_into_the_stream._Some_time_later_she_was_found_drowned._Neither_Hamlet_nor_Horatio_knew_about_this_unhappy_event.
.A_few_minutes_later,_a_group_of_men_and_women_came_to_the_grave._Hamlet_and_Horatio_saw,_among_them,_the_king_and_queen,_and_Laertes,_Ophelia’s_brother._They_were_carrying_the_dead_body_of_Ophelia._Hamlet_and_Horatio_hid_themselves_behind_the_bushes_in_order_that_they_might_not_be_seen_by_them.
.Ophelia_was_laid_into_the_grave._The_priest_began_the_funeral_service_for_her._While_the_priest_was_praying,_the_queen_threw_some_beautiful_flowers_into_the_grave,_saying,_“Now_that_you_are_dead,_I_hope_you_may_have_peace_in_heaven,_my_dear_sweet_lady._I_had_hoped_that_you_would_become_my_Hamlet’s_wife._”_
