Nowand then one of the old hogs would break away totry a quick cut at the dog. But When Yeller dartedaway，the hog wouldn’t follow up. He’d go rightback to the half circle the others were making atthe front of the cave. The hogs knew what a goodplace they’d found for making a fighting stand，andthey weren’t going to leave it.
