About 330 BC, the ancient Ba State moved its capital to Langzhong.
314 BC, the Qin Kingdom wiped out the Ba State, then downgraded it to
Ba Prefecture, meanwhile officially set up Langzhong County in
the Ba Prefecture.
About 156 BC-87 BC, the Langzhongborn astronomer Luoxia Hong
was alive.
214 AD-221 AD, General Zhang Fei garrisoned Langzhong.
655 AD, Li Lingkui, who was Emperor Li Yuans son, came to
Langzhong to assume the prefect of Long Prefecture.
679 AD, Li Yuanying, who was Emperor Li Yuans last son, came to
Langzhong to assume the prefect of Long Prefecture.
713 AD,Long Prefecture was renamed as Lang Prefecture. Langyuan,
the literary name of Langzhong came into being.
791 AD, the Langzhongborn Yin Shu won a Number One Scholar title.
813 AD, the Langzhongborn Yin Ji won a Number One Scholar title.
989 AD, the Langzhongborn Chen Yaosou won a Number One Scholar title.
1000 AD, the Langzhongborn Chen Yaozi won a Number One Scholar title.
1651-1662, the Sichuan Provincial Government of the Qing Dynasty was
based in Langzhong.
On lunar March 25th, 1689, Khoja Abd Alla passed away in Langzhong.
June,1933-April,1935, the Red Army Fourth Branch undertook
revolutionary struggle in Langzhong.
1986, the State Council approved Langzhong to be a famous national
historical and cultural county town.
1991,Langzhong County was promoted to be Langzhong City approved by
the State Council.
1992, Langzhong was declared to be an open city by the State Council.
1996, the State Council declared that Langzhongs Zhang Fei Temple was a
key cultural relic protection site.
2001, the State Council approved Langzhongs Yongan Temple and
Langzhongs Wulong Temple both to be national key cultural
relic protection sites.
2004,The Regulations on the Protection of Langzhong Ancient City of
Sichuan Province was issued by the Sichuan Provincial Peoples Congress.
2004, the State Tourism Administration declared that Langzhong was an
outstanding tourist city.
2006, the State Council approved Langzhongs Tengwang Pavilion to be a
national key cultural relic protection site.
July, 2009, the National RopeSkipping Open was held in Langzhong.
2009, the UNESCO acclaimed Langzhong as“Millennium Ancient County
of the World”.
February, 2010, the Chinese Folk Literature and Art Society ensured that
Langzhong was recognized as the birthplace of the Spring Festival,
which is Chinas most important holiday.
October, 2010, Western China Folk Song Performance was held in
Langzhong.
July, 2012, Basketball matches with teams from the US, Germany,
Lithuania and China were held in Langzhong.
September, 2012, the Fourth Sports Meeting of Nanchong City was held
in Langzhong.
October, 2012, Of the Chinese Badminton Club super league, a match
