encouraged,encouraging(1 / 1)

We all feel enced by the progress we have made.

She was enced by her success.

He had been enced by his teacher to study more riously.

The prent iional situation is encing.

It is encing to find that our young people are getting more knowledgeable.

眾所周知,在英語裏,現在分詞一般表示主動的意思,如:an obliging person(樂於助人的人)等於a person who obliges; a rolling stone(滾石)等於a stone which rolls, 但也有少數的現在分詞表示被動的含義。例:

Whie is wanting?

(=the volume that is wanted)

We ot find the missing papers.

(=the papers which are misd)

如:a drunken fellow(醉漢)等於a fellow who has drunk much wine;a learned man(知識淵博之士)等於a man who has learned a great deal。
