◎兩種愛情(Two_Loves)

I_dreamed_I_stood_upon_a_little_hill,And_at_my_feet_there_lay_a_ground,that_seemed_Like_a_waste_garden,flowering_at_its_will_With_buds_and_blossoms.

There_were_pools_that_dreamed_Black_and_unruffled;

there_were_white_lilies_A_few,and_crocuses,and_violets_Purple_or_pale,snake_like_fritillaries_Scarce_seen_for_the_rank_grass,and_through_green_nets_Blue_eyes_of_shy_peryenche_winked_in_the_sun.

And_there_were_curious_flowers,before_unknown,Flowers_that_were_stained_with_moonlight,or_with_shades_Of_Nature’s_willful_moods;

and_here_a_one_That_had_drunk_in_the_transitory_tone_Of_one_brief_moment_in_a_sunset;

blades_Of_grass_that_in_an_hundred_springs_had_been_Slowly_but_exquisitely_nurtured_by_the_stars,And_watered_with_the_scented_dew_long_cupped_In_lilies,that_for_rays_of_sun_had_seen_Only_God’s_glory,for_never_a_sunrise_mars_The_luminous_air_of_Heaven.

Beyond,abrupt,A_grey_stone_wall.

o’ergrown_with_velvet_moss_Uprose;

and_gazing_I_stood_long,all_mazed_To_see_a_place_so_strange,so_sweet,so_fair.

And_as_I_stood_and_marvelled,lo!across_The_garden_came_a_youth;

one_hand_he_raised_To_shield_him_from_the_sun,his_wind_tossed_hair_Was_twined_with_flowers,and_in_his_hand_he_bore_A_purple_bunch_of_bursting_grapes,his_eyes_Were_clear_as_crystal,naked_all_was_he,White_as_the_snow_on_pathless_mountains_frore,Red_were_his_lips_as_red_wine_spilith_that_dyes_A_marble_floor,his_brow_chalcedony.

And_he_came_near_me,with_his_lips_uncurled_And_kind,and_caught_my_hand_and_kissed_my_mouth,And_gave_me_grapes_to_eat,and_said,‘Sweet_friend,Come_I_will_show_thee_shadows_of_the_world_And_images_of_life.See_from_the_South_Comes_the_pale_pageant_that_hath_never_an_end.’

And_lo!within_the_garden_of_my_dream_I_saw_two_walking_on_a_shining_plain_Of_golden_light.

The_one_did_joyous_seem_And_fair_and_blooming,and_a_sweet_refrain_Came_from_his_lips;

he_sang_of_pretty_maids_And_joyous_love_of_comely_girl_and_boy,His_eyes_were_bright,and_mid_the_dancing_blades_Of_golden_grass_his_feet_did_trip_for_joy;

And_in_his_hand_he_held_an_ivory_lute_With_strings_of_gold_that_were_as_maidens’hair,And_sang_with_voice_as_tuneful_as_a_flute,And_round_his_neck_three_chains_of_roses_were.

But_he_that_was_his_comrade_walked_aside;

He_was_full_sad_and_sweet,and_his_large_eyes_Were_strange_with_wondrous_brightness,staring_wide_With_gazing;

and_he_sighed_with_many_sighs_That_moved_me,and_his_cheeks_were_wan_and_white_Like_pallid_lilies,and_his_lips_were_red_Like_poppies,and_his_hands_he_clenched_tight,And_yet_again_unclenched,and_his_head_Was_wreathed_with_moon_flowers_pale_as_lips_of_death.
