Lack of Trust and Honesty
Current society is discussing the problem of lack of trust and honesty. Citizensare surrounded by false products and lies as they go through their normal days.When we meet a supposedly disabled man begging for money in the street, weimmediately wonder if he is cheating us. Consumers cannot easily believeanything merchants have guaranteed in the business world. This situation needsto be addressed through the action of government and society.
The underlying reason for this phenomenon is that busy schedules in life andwork leave people with little time to really investigate things in the outsideworld; consequently people cannot trust those they do not know. Trust is notsomething that can be built with quick-fix techniques. Rather, it is somethingthat is cultivated through personal interactions. Another factor at play is thatthere are not enough consequences to deter immoral people from lying andcheating to benefit themselves. The government has not enacted laws strictenough, and must enforce all the relevant laws.
In view of all these factors, certain measures must be taken to improve thissituation. Government should enact laws to punish fraud, and the public shouldenhance their communication with others and build up their trust. Only throughthese methods can we return to a more moral environment.
