在風鈴草樹林裏

我在風鈴草的樹林裏尋你，
卻不見你的蹤跡。
你無影無痕，
但我能感覺到你與我同在。
在小銀蓮花金色的六角星裏？
在四散的嫩鵝黃的九輪草裏？
在迷途的知更草粉紅的花瓣裏？
我無從知曉。
然而，突然間，我知道了：
在栗色的樹幹間，目力所及之處，
那齊膝的風鈴草就是你：
何處？無處？某處？處處。
In The Bluebell Woods

I looked for you in the bluebell woods
And couldn’t find you anywhere.
You were nowhere，
Though I could feel you with me somewhere.
In the tiny anemone’s golden six-pointed star？
In the scattered pale-yellow oxlips？
In the stray ragged robin’s pink？
I couldn’t think.
Then suddenly I knew：
The bluebells – knee-high， as far as the eye could see
Between the chestnut trunks – they were you：
Anywhere？ Nowhere？ Somewhere？ Everywhere.
